The Belleek community garden is based on a small area donated by the Belleek & County Partnership in the heart of the village. Local residents meet on Thursday mornings to garden together, learning from a garden tutor how to grow fruit, herbs and vegetables. This is the second year of the garden and this year, the participants have erected a small polytunnel. The garden is part of the ‘Growing Together’ programme, funded by the International Fund for Ireland and is partnered with the Kinlough Community garden in Co. Leitrim. Participants take home what they grow and take part in joint cooking sessions with the Kinlough gardeners and cross-border workshops.
